My name is Edvardas Kiaulakis or simply Eddie.
I am certified Personal Trainer working at CMB gym based in Dublin. I gained my qualifications while studying at Image Fitness. I also hold the National Elite Fitness Professional Certificate, TRX, Kettlebell, Strongman and Olympic lifting certificates.
So a little bit about myself…
I started training at the age of 16, when I got my first gym membership for my 16th birthday. I was a very skinny young guy and lacking any kind of confidence in myself so I thought it was good idea for me to get into the gym and start lifting weights.
As a kid it was very hard for me to get into training as I had no idea what I was doing in the gym, I had no guidance or knowledge so I decided not to renew my membership for that reason (like many) and because I was feeling embarrassed by my appearance. I simply felt intimidated. My father decided to get me a gym set at home, because he thought that getting into training at home would ultimately help me with my self esteem. I wouldn’t feel like I was being judged..
Training at home I started to put on some lean weight and build muscle, I started feeling more confident and better about myself so I eventually decided to renew my membership at the gym and continue training there.
During my late teens I was studying computer programming and I thought that my future career would be revolved around game development. I was so passionate about game development that I decided to move to America to pursue my career goals. When I moved to America I was working for an indie game development company and managed to continue training at the gym all throughout my stay. I really got into training and I slowly realized that I was dedicating more efforts into training than in game design. I noticed that going to the gym after a long day at the office made me happier than going to my job as a game developer. In the end I realized that an office based job was not suited for me, and that a career in gaming industry was not my calling.
When I returned back to Ireland I had an epiphany. I realized that I could actually turn my love for training into a new career goal. I love training and love coaching other people. I finally decided to make a career change. It made sense for me to me to become a personal trainer in Dublin.
During all my years of training I have help many people who wanted to change their lives for the better. From early on in life, I knew that I have the right set of skills to help people to achieve their fitness, health and lifestyle goals.
Eventually I realized that there are a lot of people who are going through the same struggle. Fitness and good health is a long journey and it can be very hard to do it on your own. I know this first hand from my own struggle and passion to learn. My goal is simply to help as many people as possible who want to help themselves be the best version of themselves.
I put all my effort and energy into fitness. I am passionate about my own training, coaching others and being healthy. I always keep one thing in mind – your body is for life.
